We are looking for coding instructors/teachers who have experience in teaching kids, who are comfortable with technology and passionate for inspiring, leading, and teaching grade 1 to 12 students in a fun environment. Both part-time and full-time position available based on customer’s demand and/or time of year.
This coding instructor role is mainly for teaching visual block-based coding such as App Inventor, Scratch, Minecraft, or TinkerCAD.
Ideal for college/university graduates in various disciplines that are passionate with teaching and wanting to make a difference in young generations. Also ideal for graduating students who are keen on teaching others, developing fun computer coding curriculum/themes and teaching plans.

Instructor Role
- Lead coding classes and events, specifically visual block-based coding such as App Inventor, Scratch, Minecraft, and TinkerCAD
- Inspire creativity and curiosity in students
- Present and teach Alpha Coding lesson plans
- Build curriculum and teaching plans, and train other instructors
- Create safe, comfortable and fun classroom environments
- Work with students to develop their own individual learning path
- Contribute to the continuous development of Alpha Coding curriculum
- Track each student’s progress and provide feedback to parents
- Come up with projects/themes for the class in addition to the existing curriculum
- We also offer programmes at local schools or private tutoring – you may need to travel to these locations
Requirements
- College/university graduates with a diploma or degree in various disciplines
- Experience working with and leading kids in learning settings such as school or camps
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral
- Comfortable learning new technologies such as new application, software, and hardware
- Reliable, energetic, and well-organized
- Pass a police clearance/vulnerability sector check
Preferred
- Teaching experience, camp counsellor
- Background in computer science / programming, software engineering, computer engineering
- Flexible schedule
- CPR training
- Some customer service and sales experience is ideal
